Introducing piaget replica watches's new Professional Diver with a new spring-driven movement

Last year, when we were invited to visit the Seiko watch workshop, we heard whispers of new movements to be released in 2020 to mark its 60th anniversary event. Today, the two movements have been unveiled and present not just one, but two movements. the 9RA5 movement is a spring-driven development, while the 9SA5 is a mechanical watch movement, discussed here.

Seiko's Spring Drive has long been highly regarded in the piaget replica watches industry since it first appeared in Japan in 1999 and was launched internationally in 2005. So, given that last year marked the 20th anniversary of the Spring Drive, we were looking forward to updating this impressive movement.

In short, the movement operates essentially like a normal gear train, except that the balance wheel has been replaced by a “sliding wheel” which acts as a fixed fourth wheel rolex replica for the movement and drives the seconds hand. The regulation of the gear train is carried out by an electromagnet, which brakes the movement of the wheel to keep it constant. This system provides 256 brakes per second and is controlled by a vanadium-cobalt solenoid with 25,000 coils.

The winding system is bi-directional and is controlled by mido replica watches a lever developed in-house by Seiko in 1959. In the new calibre 9RA5, the lever, known as the "magic lever", is now offset from its original position in the centre of the movement, meaning that the movement is thinner. Two barrels of different sizes power the movement and operate in an overlapping manner in order to provide a very even torque throughout the movement's power reserve, while lasting 120 hours.

A single-piece bridges were also developed and machined to ensure a new layout for the gear train, which means fewer parts and fewer screw points. But best of all, this single-centre bridges provides the movement with remarkable shock resistance, meeting the requirements of ISO 6425. In fact, on the back of the movement, you can see two distinct barrels above the crown bar.
